Police officer involved in late-night crash in Pacific

PACIFIC, Mo. (KMOV.com) - A police officer was involved in a crash in Franklin County late Tuesday night.

The Pacific Police officer was responding to an automatic alarm at a business around 11 p.m. when the accident occurred in the 2200 block of West Osage.

According to officials, the officer attempted to go around a semi truck he believed to be parked in the center lane in front of a business.

While passing the semi on the right, the truck turned to the right and the cab of the semi hit the front left of the officer's vehicle.

The patrol vehicle sustained significant damage, but the officer was not injured.
