A carjacking suspect has been charged after he allegedly led police on cross-state car chase on June 22.

According to authorities, Zemry Ransom faces several felony charges including possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of a weapon, resisting arrest, and assualt on a police animal.

Police said Zemry Ransom led officers on a chase from Pine Lawn, Missouri into Madison, Illinois.

The chase ended in the 4500 block of Alice in north St. Louis when police crashed into the suspect's car.
