Festus woman missing after flooding

FESTUS, Mo. (KMOV.com) - The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in their search for Angela R. Kirby of Festus, who was reported missing after flooding hit the area Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

Kirby, of the 2900 block of Meyer Road, was reported missing at approximately 3:10 a.m. after her GMC Safari van was located in a creek near Buck Creek Road in Festus.

Authorities believe Kirby's van was swept off the road during Tuesday night's storm.

Kirby is described as a 50-year-old, white female weighing approximately 150 pounds with hazel eyes and blond hair.

No foul play is suspected.

Anyone with information on Kirby's whereabouts are asked to call the Jefferson County 911 Dispatch Center at 636-797-9999.

Additionally, anyone who believes a family member or friend to be missing following the storms near Highway 67 and Buck Creek Road is also asked to contact the Jefferson County 911 Dispatch Center.
