ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) - Authorities released details on three armed robberies between 9 and 11 p.m. Monday night, two of which occurred less than a mile apart in south St. Louis city.

In the first armed robbery, a 45-year-old woman was driving through an alley in the 4200 block of Dewey in south St. Louis at approximately 9:10 p.m.

When she exited her car, she was approached by two suspects, who were holding firearms and reportedly demanded her vehicle.

The suspects fled north in the victim's 2014 Ford Focus.

Police described the suspects as 18 to 24 year old men. One of the suspects is approximately five foot nine inches tall, 160 pounds, with a short afro and was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and dark jeans. The other is approximately five foot eleven inches tall with a medium build and was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt.

At 10 p.m., a 23-year-old woman got into her car in a gas station parking lot in the 1100 block of Riverview in north city.

After getting into her vehicle, police said an unknown suspect opened the driver side door and showed a gun. The suspect sat next to the victim in the vehicle and told her to get out.

The victim then began honking the car's horn and struggled with the suspect, who then ran away from the car on foot.

Officials said the suspect is a man between five foot eight and five foot ten inches tall, with a thin build. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a white jacket with a green stripe on the sleeve, white shorts, a hospital mask over his nose and mouth and carrying a black satchel.

The victim was not injured in the struggle.

Just before 11 p.m., a 48-year-old victim was robbed at gunpoint in the 3700 block of Gustine in south city, less than a mile from the first robbery.

The victim told police she had just arrived at the location and was about to exit her car when two suspects came up behind her and demanded she leave her vehicle. The victim said one of the suspects was armed with a gun.

One of the suspects reportedly entered the victim's Honda Civic and drove away while the other suspect ran away westbound, according to authorities.

The suspects were described by authorities as men either 17 or 18-years-old, one of whom was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

Despite the close proximity of the first and third robberies and that the victims were both women in their 40s, police said they do not believe the incidents are related.

All of the investigations are ongoing.
