ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A man was killed and a woman injured during a double shooting in north St. Louis late Monday night.

The shots were fired at a home in the 2520 block of Semple Avenue just before midnight.

After the shots were fired, 27-year-old Marvin Carter was taken to a hospital with multiple gunshot wounds where he was pronounced dead.

The 30-year-old woman was transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds to her thigh. The woman was listed in stable condition after the shooting, police said.

According to the woman, the suspect is her ex-boyfriend who she was arguing with earlier in the evening. The ex-boyfriend returned to the home and fired the shots at the victims before leaving, police said.

Three children were inside the home at the time of the shooting but they were not injured, police said.

The 25-year-old unidentified suspect has been placed as “wanted,” police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
