(KMOV.com) – Madison County authorities said a man exposed himself to a paramedic and grabbed her inside an ambulance that was taking him to a hospital.

Authorities said 38-year-old Timothy Gaudreault is charged with aggravated battery and public indecency. Authorities said he not only exposed himself to an EMT but was also unruly and grabbed her. According to authorities, police were initially called to a home for a domestic disturbance involving Gaudreault. During the call, Gaudreault said he needed an ambulance.

Authorities said a deputy elected to follow the ambulance close behind as paramedics drove it to Oliver Anderson Hospital in Maryville.

“His behavior included touching and fondling of a paramedic who was trying to render him aid. He actually exposed his genitalia and began to masturbate during the ambulance ride,” said Kris Tharp with the Madison County Sheriff's Office.

Police said Gaudreault's actions forced the ambulance to stop twice on its way to the hospital. Police said the paramedic was a little shaken but is physically okay.

“She was not injured. She maintained her professionalism and did her job,” said Tharp.
