Homicide detectives called to 4 separate North City shootings Monday

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) - Homicide detectives are investigating three separate St. Louis shootings on Monday.

Police responded to the 2200 block of Benton near North 23rd Street in north St. Louis on Monday morning after gunshots were fired. Upon arriving on the scene, authorities discovered 28-year-old Orlando Bernard deceased of apparent gunshot wounds to the torso, hand and legs.

Shortly after 3:00 Monday afternoon, homicide detectives were called to the 4900 block of Natural Bridge, near Kingshighway, for a shooting. Police say the victim was listed in critical, unstable condition.

Shortly after the Natural Bridge shooting, one man was killed and another was seriously wounded in a shooting in the 3800 block of Sullivan, a few blocks south of Fairground Park.

Police said 24-year-old Darius Collier of St. Louis suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead on the scene.

The other victim, a 25-year-old man, sustained gunshot wounds to his thighs and was listed in serious, stable condition.

Late Monday night, officers were called to the 2500 block of Semple just before midnight. Police said a 27-year-old male was found deceased from multiple gunshot wounds. A 30-year-old woman was transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds to her thigh.

No information has been released on suspects in any of the incidents.

All of the investigations are ongoing.
