Store employees in Fairview Heights, Caseyville arrested for selling alcohol to minors

COLLINSVILLE, Ill. (KMOV.com) – Two Metro East store employees were arrested for selling alcohol to minors in separate incidents Thursday evening.

The Illinois State Police Alcohol Countermeasure Enforcement conducted surveillance at 30 different locations in Belleville, Caseyville, Fairview Heights and Swansea during the evening hours.

Police said two businesses, Caytown Convenience in Caseyville and MotoMart in Fairview Heights, were involved in selling alcohol to minors during the surveillance period.

Caytown Convenience employee Kayla Icke and MotoMart employee Kimberly Moore were arrested for unlawful delivery of alcoholic liquor to a minor, a Class A misdemeanor. Both were released on a notice to appear in court.

The surveillance project was funded by the Illinois Department of Transportation, Division of Traffic Safety.
