ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A woman was robbed of her wallet at gunpoint late Monday night in South City.
The 30-year-old woman was sitting in her parked vehicle smoking a cigarette in the 2600 block of Russell when a man approached her and asked for a cigarette around 11:50 p.m.
The woman gave the suspect a cigarette and as he lit it, he pulled out a firearm and demanded the woman's property.
After taking the woman's wallet, the suspect ran east on Russell.
The suspect is described as man between 20 and 30 years old, 160 pounds with a thin build. The suspect was wearing blue jeans and a skull cap at the time of the armed robbery.
The investigation is ongoing.
