ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – One person was killed and three were injured during four separate shootings within four hours in north St. Louis overnight.

The first shooting occurred around 10 p.m. Monday when a 43-year-old man was shot during an armed robbery on Goodfellow at Stratford. The victim told police the suspect approached him and asked for money.

When the victim refused to give him money, the suspect produced a firearm and announced a robbery. 

The victim got into his vehicle and drove away from the suspect, police said. As the victim drove away the suspect fired a shot at him, striking him in the back. 

The victim was taken to a hospital by a family member and is listed in stable condition.

Just after 11 p.m. on Monday, a man in his 20's was standing in the 5600 block of St. Louis Avenue when he heard gunshots and felt a pain in the back of his head.

Authorities said the man was transported to the hospital with a graze wound.

Multiple cars in the area were damaged by gunfire.

The victim was listed in stable condition.

Around 1:03 Tuesday morning, numerous shots were fired at a home with people inside in the 5000 block of Maple Avenue, south of Sherman Park.

A woman, an 11-year-old and a nine-year-old were inside the home at the time, but none of them sustained injuries when the shots were fired. 

A car outside of the home was damaged by the gunshots.

The fourth shooting took place around 2:30 a.m.

According to police, Deon Eddington, 25, of the 6000 block of Lucille, was found sitting in the driver's seat of a vehicle that had crashed into a light pole in the 2000 block of Salisbury.

Eddington sustained gunshot wounds to his chest, back, thigh and stomach. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities said a 27-year-old man, who was in the passenger seat of Eddington's vehicle, was found in the 2100 block of Angelica with a graze wound to his head.

He was taken to the hospital and is listed in stable condition.

Police told News 4 the victim was uncooperative with the investigation.

All investigations are ongoing.
