ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- A Missouri state lawmaker is facing criticism for participating in a Confederate dedication ceremony Saturday.
The Columbia Tribune reports Rep. Chuck Basye, R-Rocheport, in Boone County, was among a group who gathered to dedicate a gravestone to Confederates who died in 1865. The grave site is on land belonging to Basye's family, the newspaper reports.
