Man robs victims, crashes stolen car, but leaves behind phone with his photos

ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- Police are searching for a robbery suspect who crashed a stolen car and left behind a cell phone after the accident.

The incident happened June 2 in the 5700 block of Delmar around 12:35 a.m. Four male victims said they were walking through a parking lot when the suspect approached them from behind and held them at gunpoint. The suspect took two cell phones, money, a wallet and the keys to the victim's Lincoln MKZ. 

The suspect fled the scene and was observed trailing at a high rate of speed northbound on Union, where he struck a Ford F-150 occupied by a 57-year-old male. 

After the collision, the suspect fled through the windshield where he is still at-large.

The victim whose car was stolen located a cell phone inside of his vehicle that was left at the scene of the accident. A search warrant was obtained for the phone. The victim said photos on the phone matched the suspect who stole his vehicle.
