CASEYVILLE, Ill. (KMOV.com) - Caseyville Police have asked for the public's help in apprehending 34-year-old Stephen Anderson, who allegedly failed to yield to an officer and led police on a chase in February.

According to police, the officer who attempted to stop Anderson in February was aware the suspect had an active warrant and his driving privileges had been revoked.

During the pursuit, Anderson reportedly drove more than 100 miles per hour in an attempt to elude arrest.

Authorities said the officer abandoned the pursuit for safety reasons at westbound I-64 and Illinois 111 in Washington Park and have since been unable to capture the suspect.

On Wednesday, a warrant was issued for Anderson's arrest for accusations of aggravated fleeing and attempting to elude a police officer, a felony charge.

A judge set Anderson's bond at $50,000.

Anderson is still at large and anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Caseyville Police Department at 618-277-3500.
