I Do...To Do: The Path To My Perfect Wedding Venue

Posted: Updated:
Aside from my wedding dress, I would argue the biggest decision I will make in my whole wedding planning process is the venue for our reception….where we'll eat, drink, toast and of course dance (my fiancé Jared loves to dance) with family and friends.  As you know, big decisions aren't often quick decisions.  They require a lot of time, energy and brainpower.  So, tomorrow (Wednesday, June 17) on Great Day St. Louis, our wedding planners from Simcha's Events offer very helpful tips on how to pick the perfect venue.  Trust me, it'll make your life much easier and much more enjoyable.

In the meantime, I'd love to share some inside scoop on how my fiancé and I picked the most wonderful venue for us.  My parents, Jared and I visited more venues than I can count.  I'm a thorough person.  I like to see and weigh all of my options before making a big decision.  Yes, it was an exhausting process, and yes, it took a lot of time (A LOT of time), but it led us to the absolute perfect place for us….
The Chase Park Plaza.  It was the only place I walked in where I just had that feeling of “this is it”.  Jared will tell you he felt the same way.

We love how unique it is, how much character it has, and how much it reminds of us classic St. Louis.  It was important to us for our guests to enjoy part of the evening outdoors, and
The Starlight Roof (with The Starlight Ballroom and The Zodiak Room) allow for that and then some.  The rooms are marvelous and the view is absolutely breathtaking.  I mean, seriously, look at these pictures!  You can see over Forest Park to the west and downtown St. Louis to the east.  Being by Forest Park is important to us, too, because we have so many special memories there.  Now, there are a few more things on my list that really sealed the deal with us choosing The Chase, but you have to watch my latest

“I Do… To Do” story tomorrow morning.  My Great Day producers would be so proud of me right now.  They're all about the teases!

See you tomorrow morning at 10!
