 ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- Emergency crews responded to several shootings Tuesday afternoon in north St. Louis, following a violent period Monday overnight into Tuesday.

Ronald Collins, 40, was found deceased on the front porch of his resident at approximately 1:40 p.m. Collins sustained gunshot wounds to the back of the head, jaw and arm and was pronounced dead at the scene. The homicide happened in the 5900 block of Highland, just west of Goodfellow in St. Louis' Wells-Goodfellow neighborhood.

A second victim, a 31-year-old male, suffered shots to the stomach, ankle, arms and legs. He was transported to a hospital in critical, stable condition.

The shooting is the latest in string of deadly shootings Tuesday.

Three people were killed and three more were injured during four separate shootings within three hours overnight.

Chauncey Ball, 24, sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the chest and a 19-year-old man suffered numerous gunshot wounds at 10:15 Monday night in the 45000 block of Margaretta in north St. Louis.

Less than 30 minutes later, police in Wellston were called to the 1550 block of Wellston Place after a man was shot in the leg.

The man was transported following the shooting but his condition has not been released.

A little over an hour after the Wellston shooting, police in St. Louis were called to a hospital after a man arrived with a gunshot wound to the leg.

The 31-year-old victim told police he was at a home in the the 5600 block of Kennerly with several friends when a small, dark blue SUV drove past them and parked. The victim reported hearing gunshots and was struck while attempting to run for cover.

The man is currently listed in stable condition.

Around 1:15 Tuesday morning Larry McGee, 37, and Willie Porter, 33, were slain after being shot in the 8700 block of North Broadway. According to police, witnesses reported hearing gunshots and a vehicle leaving the scene.

A witness said three people were shot at inside a car near Rumbold Park on Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities said three victims, ages 20, 21 and 23, were driving north on Prairie near the intersection of N. Market when an unknown suspect, or suspects, approached from behind, possibly in a maroon SUV, and fired shots.

The driver of the victims' vehicle then struck an electrical pole. Police said two men where driven to the hospital by family members in stable condition. A third victim was not injured in the shooting and police said he was uncooperative with the investigation.

Police said a 41-year-old woman was  shot in the leg in the 5100 block of Enright at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. According to authorities, the victim and 62-year-old male suspect were arguing over personal problems when the suspect became angry and shot the victim in her lower leg.

The suspect then reportedly fled the scene in an older, dark blue Chrysler 300 and is still at large.

The woman who was shot was taken to the hospital in stable condition. 

Authorities have not released any information on suspects.
