FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – The Fairview Heights Police Department is asking for help locating a suspect who robbed a Circle K early Saturday morning.

The suspect entered the store, located in the 10420 block of Lincoln Highway, wearing a ski mask and brandishing a pistol around 2:30 a.m., the on-duty clerk told police.

The suspect escorted the clerk to the cash register and demanded money and cigarettes, police said.

After the robbery, the suspect left on foot heading north. Police from O'Fallon, Caseyville and an Illinois State Police K-9 Unit all assisted in the search but the suspect was not apprehended.

No injuries were reported during the incident.

The suspect is described as 5-foot-7 with a slim build and appeared to be in his mid-20's, police said.
