Two victims sustain injuries in west St. Louis shooting

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) - Two men were at a vacant lot in the 1600 block of Hamilton in west St. Louis when they were shot, police said.

Police said a 24-year-old victim said he and a 42-year-old man heard gunfire and ran before he realized he had been shot in the leg.

After running to the 5900 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Drive, the first victim contacted police and officers found the second victim at the vacant lot with a gunshot wound in his thigh.

The first victim was transported to the hospital in serious, stable condition and the second victim was taken to the hospital in stable, critical condition.

No information was released on possible suspects.
