A suspect is in custody after leading police on a bi-state chase that started in St. Louis County, went into Illinois, and then ended in St. Louis City Thursday night.
According to police, the 26-year-old suspect was wanted for a robbery when the chase began in north St. Louis County.
After leading police into Illinois, and then north St. Louis, police deployed spike strips in the area of Salisbury and North 20th, which disabled the vehicle. When the vehicle came to a rest, the suspect exited it and ran on foot.
The suspect was taken into custody after being found in a vacant building in the 3700 block of North Broadway.
According to police, a gun and suspected drugs were also recovered from the suspect.
The suspect was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries he sustained while running from police.

The St. Louis County Department of Public Health is warning individuals they may have been exposed to measles last week.
