ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A St. Louis man was arrested and charged after allegedly taking $14,000 worth of rings from a St. Louis County home and selling them to a pawn shop.

According to police, Gary Pointer, 53, admitted to taking two gold-and-diamond rings from a home in the 1300 block of Regency Estates Court in April.

After the rings were reported missing, a police investigation revealed they were sold to a pawn shop in St. Louis.

After being arrested and shown the documentation from the pawn shop, Pointer said, “I knew I shouldn't have done that, you got me,” according to the complaint.

Pointer is charged with one count of stealing over $500.
