ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A 21-year-old bicyclist died from the injuries sustained after striking a vehicle's mirror Wednesday morning.

According to police, Timothy Canada, of the 4600 block of Cote Brilliante, was riding a bicycle in the 4900 block of Page when he struck a vehicle's mirror around 7:40 a.m. After striking the mirror, Canada fell off of the bike and into the roadway. Canada's bicycle continued moving and was run over by a different vehicle.

Following the accident, Canada was taken to a hospital in critical, unstable condition. Canada was pronounced dead roughly 10 hours after the accident occurred.

“He had so much he wanted to do and his life just ended suddenly,” said his aunt Felicia Duckworth.

Canada had graduated from an internship program with the non-profit Mission St. Louis recently.

His death comes just eight months after his mother was killed while walking down the street in Columbia, Missouri. A 17-year-old driver was charged after she lost control of her vehicle, striking and killing Dianna Barney.

“Almost the same way, except she was walking. “It's very hard, no one can know what we're going through right now,” said Duckworth.
