PACIFIC, Mo. (KMOV.com) - Police in Pacific are improving their relationships with residents one cup of coffee at a time.

The Pacific Police Department held it's inaugural "Coffee With A Cop" event on Tuesday morning at the McDonalds in Pacific.

Captain Larry Cooke organized the event to allow residents to get to know officers better and to see them in a different light.

One of the officers served customers at the drive through window, while another walked around serving coffee.

News 4's Russell Kinsaul attended the event, which included patrol officers, detectives, a K-9 officer and narcotics investigators.

The feedback from customers was so positive that the police department is considering another "Coffee With A Cop" in the fall.
