FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A former Pacific police officer plead guilty to stealing controlled substances in Franklin County, according to court documents.

Last March Arthur F. Tullock, 56, plead guilty to the two counts against him.

Prosecuting Attorney Bob Parks said roughly a dozen drug cases had to be dismissed last year because the evidence was stolen by the former officer. Parks also said his officer was forced to reject several pending drug cases filed by Pacific because of missing drug evidence.

On Tuesday Tullock was sentenced to five years in prison for each felony count.

Tullock is also required to undergo an institutional drug treatment program. If he completes the program, he will be released after 120 days and placed on supervised probation.
