Two hurt in separate North City shootings Monday night

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) - Two men sustained injuries in separate shootings in North City on Monday night.

A man was approaching the stop sign on N. Taylor at Newstead at approximately 8 p.m. when an older-model silver Chevy Impala pulled alongside his vehicle.

Three suspects then began to fire multiple shots at the 54-year-old victim and he was hit once in the arm. The suspects then fled the scene.

The victim was transported to a hospital in stable condition after contacting police three hours after the shooting, according to authorities.

A second shooting occurred in the 6300 block of Lalite at approximately 8:57 p.m. while the victim was walking southbound on Goodfellow with a group of acquaintances. A newer-model, gray Chevy Impala drove past and fired shots in the direction of the group.

One victim was hit once in the thigh and transported to a hospital in stable condition. No other injuries were reported.

The suspect's vehicle was last seen fleeing southbound on Goodfellow.

Both shooting investigations are ongoing.
