MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- The Maryland Heights Police Department arrested a St. Charles man for allegedly stealing a car from his part-time job and selling it to buy heroin.

Kelli R. Snedeker, 50, confessed to stealing the 2010 Chevrolet Impala between April 12 and April 13, using a set of keys he found at work, police said.

The day after the theft was discovered by the employer, the stolen car was found in St. Louis city.

The man in possession of the car said he purchased it the previous day, having given Snedeker a $150 down payment for a $1,500 price. The man identified Snedeker from a photo lineup.

Snedeker is facing a felony charge for stealing a motor vehicle.
