Warrant issued for man suspected of burglary in Jennings
JENNINGS, Mo. (KMOV) -- Warrants have been issued for a man accused of breaking into a home and assaulting the residents as they were trying to escape.
On May 24, officers responded to the 5600 block of Jennings Station Road for a burglary in progress. Officers observed forced entry into the home.
The victims said when they arrived at the residence they located an unknown man, Antonio D. Santiago, 48, inside the home. Santiago allegedly assaulted them as they tried to escape.
After talking to the victims, officers called out a description of the suspect to other officers canvassing the area. Two male subjects, one matching the description of the burglary suspect, was found nearby in the same block.
When the officers approached, the matching suspect began running away. The subject that stayed said the person who ran away was his brother, Santiago.
The two victims later identified Santiago in a photo lineup.
