The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office arrested three people for allegedly trying to sell a stolen laptop computer to a De Soto woman.
The De Soto woman reportedly knows the three suspects, a 23-year-old and a 17-year-old from Ironton and a 27-year-old from Bismarck. They contacted her and asked if she wanted to buy a laptop, Capt. Ron Arnhart with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said.
The victim, who was not identified, contacted the Sheriff's Office. The three suspects then arranged to meet the woman on May 3 at a business parking lot in the 3100 block of Flucom Road, police said. Deputies were waiting for them and were able to take the three suspects into custody.
The three subjects, who have yet to be formally charged, were allegedly found with a laptop, which had been stolen in Washington County and were allegedly driving a 2003 Lincoln that had been reported stolen in Iron County, Missouri.
