News 4 Schools: Normandy students receive 'Real Life 101' scholarships

 A few graduating seniors from Normandy High School are recipients of a Real Life 101 scholarships, which provides them with money for college, a new laptop and a mentor for the next five years.

"We're trying to invest in education opposed to incarceration, because they have a 1 in 3 chance of going to prison," said Sid E. Taylor, founder of Real Life 101.


The non-profit group is based in Detroit, but partnered with Normandy after the death of Michael Brown, Jr. who graduated from Normandy in 2014.
