ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A 20-year-old man is accused of killing a North County teen while the teen was sitting on a front porch.

Terrence Harvey is charged with armed criminal action and second degree murder

DeMarco Watson, 18, from the 400 block of Hentschel Place, was shot while sitting on the front porch of a home in the 9800 block of Dennis Drive just before midnight on May 26.

According to police, Watson was talking with several other people when  Harvey approached the porch on foot. Harvey approached Watson, kicked him, then removed a handgun from his waistband and shot him.

After the shot, Watson removed a handgun from his waistband and shot back at Harvey as he left the scene, police said. It is unknown if Harvey was struck by Watson's gunfire.

When police arrived they attempted to revive Watson but the teenager was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives believe Watson and Harvey knew one another.
