ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – The Downtown Neighborhood Association is teaming up with St. Louis City Police to try and help people stay safe while in downtown St. Louis.

To lessen your chance of becoming crime victim, police in the City of St. Louis warn people to pay attention to their surroundings, walk with a purpose and carry as few items as possible.

City police and the Downtown Neighborhood Association will hold a meeting for downtown residents at the Central Library on Olive at 6:30 Tuesday evening.

The meeting comes after a weekend where 13 shootings were reported, including a quadruple shooting and one which injured an 8-year-old.
