ALTON, Ill. (KMOV.com) – A Madison County Grand Jury indicted twin brothers on involuntary manslaughter charges Thursday.

Aaron and Adam Hosford, 24, of Wood River, were indicted for their role in the death of South Rozana resident John Gleason, 43, following a fight outside a bar in Alton earlier this year.

According to police, Aaron and Adam were arguing with a group, which included the victim's son, when Johnny Gleason, 43, stepped in. After stepping in, police said, the twins severely beat Gleason.

Gleason was hospitalized after the attack. Days after the attack, police said, Gleason died of the injuries he sustained.

Aaron and Adam Hosford originally faced charges of aggravated battery and mob action. Both suspects were released after posting a $100,000 bail.

Those upgraded charges of involuntary manslaughter do carry the potential for an extended term of five to 10 years in prison.
