The man was transported to the hospital for treatment. Police have not released his condition.

Roughly three-and-a-half hours later, Kendra Rankin, 24, of Ferguson, was fatally shot while sitting in a car in the 4100 block of Enright.

Rankin was seated in the driver's seat when she was shot in the head and hip area. A 28-year-old man told police he was sleeping in the passenger's seat when he heard the gunshots. The witness said a 4-year-old boy and 1-year-old boy were also inside the vehicle when the shooting occurred.
