NORTH ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOV.com) -

Authorities are searching for a driver involved in two hit-and-run accidents with a motorcyclist in North St. Louis County on Tuesday.

Mike Hoffner said the first accident happened in Florissant at the intersection of Shackelford and Mullanphy around 6:30 p.m.

“A tan car came up on my left side, almost into the turning lane, and clipped my elbow,” Hoffner said.

The motorcyclist said the car did not stop, so he followed the Nissan Maxima three miles into Hazelwood to get the license plate number. Police said that's where he was hit again by the driver.

“He slammed on his brakes, and I ended up swerving over and getting into the turn lane right next to him,” Hoffner said. “He just veered over and slammed me and knocked me down."

Hoffner claims the motorcycle has $4000 worth of damage. He obtained a partial plate number, and filed police reports with Florissant and Hazelwood police departments.
