Authorities said a man has been charged in connection with a shooting an apartment complex in North St. Louis County Saturday night.

Grayland Stovall, 45, is charged with first degree murder and armed criminal action. Stovall is accused of shooting 40-year-old Christopher Bruce at the Nico Terrace Apartments in the 2100 block of Hecht.

Police said the two men, who both live in the complex, had argued on several occasions throughout the day. Police said the two men were working on their cars when Stovall allegedly went into his apartment, retrieved a gun, and shot Bruce twice in the chest.

Witnesses say after he shot the victim, Stovall went into his apartment, cleaned up, and continued working on the car with Bruce's body laid on the ground near the car.
