NORTH ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -

Police said they are looking for the driver who hit a boy in north St. Louis before driving away.

Authorities said the accident happened around 7:00 p.m. in the 5900 block of Theodore. Authorities said a 7-year-old was hit by a gray Dodge Charger before the driver sped away. A witness said the car knocked the boy back into a park car, causing him to hit his head. That witness then rushed over to help the victim.

“That's just ignorance. It's ignorance. You're coming down a one way street, you see kids coming down, kids playing when you're driving. That should tell you to slow down, there are kids coming, they might just run out there,” a neighbor said.
