TROY, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A man accused of stealing cash and lottery tickets from a Troy, Missouri business is behind bars after confessing to the crime, according to police.

Johnathan Risley was charged with second-degree burglary and felony stealing for allegedly taking $600 in cash and a large number of lottery tickets from Victory Lane, located in the 1400 block of South Main Street, on April 29.

During the investigation, police discovered that someone had attempted to cash some of the stolen lottery tickets in Moscow Mills. Risley was then identified as a suspect and interviewed by police.

Police said that during the interview Risley confessed to committing the burglary.

Risley is currently being held in the Lincoln County Jail on a $25,000 cash-only bond.
