FENTON, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Two 35-year-old men are dead after a murder-suicide in Fenton Thursday morning.

Just before 7 a.m., Police said they received a call from a woman stating her estranged husband, Mark Kirkpatrick of House Springs, called her and indicated he had allegedly shot Jason Plass, of Defiance, the man she was in a relationship with.

When police arrived at the home the estranged couple previously shared, located in the 700 block of Pine Haven Drive, both men were found dead with gunshot wounds.

According to police, Kirkpatrick arrived at the home unannounced and shot Plass.

After the shooting, Kirkpatrick called his estranged wife and told her what he had done and that he was going to kill himself, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
