JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- Authorities said all lanes of Interstate 55 and Highway 67 are reopen after an overturned truck spilled dangerous material on the Jefferson County roadway Wednesday afternoon.

Police said the accident occurred on a ramp that leads from the northbound lanes of the interstate to the highway around 3:30 p.m.

Police believe the truck spilled ammonium nitrate. A hazmat team was called in to clean up the spill.

The ramp and a nearby stretch of Highway 67 were closed for hours Wednesday afternoon leading into the early morning hours on Thursday.
