CHICAGO, Ill. (KMOV.com) – A study conducted by a Chicago CBS station showed that the family coffee pot has a variety of germs inside of it.
Ten families let the station swab their coffee makers. The swabs were then taken to Loyola University and tested for germs.
The test revealed that five of the coffee makers had E. coli and several other bacteria strains inside them.
Flushing the coffee maker with vinegar before using will help to clean the machine.
