2 shootings Saturday under investigation

ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- Police are investigating two shootings that happened Saturday, one involving a 13-year-old male.

Around 4:45 p.m., a 13-year-old told police he was walking west on Cabanne when he heard gunshots coming from an unknown location. The victim said he felt pain to his hand, then realized he had been shot.

He went to a location on Delmar and Hamilton where police were contacted. 

The victim was taken to a hospital and is listed as stable. He gave conflicting accounts of the incident and the investigation is ongoing.

Later, police say a 39-year-old man was shot in the buttocks in the 4400 block of Farlin Avenue.

Around 11 p.m., the victim said he was having a conversation with an acquaintance when he observed two unknown suspects walking east in a north alley. The victim heard gunfire, then realized he had a minor gunshot wound.

He conveyed himself to a hospital and is stable.
