NORTH ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOV.com) -

A man recently pleaded guilty to charges for his role in a hit-and-run accident at Chambers and Green Valley in unincorporated North County in May.

Investigators said the driver, 24-year-old Aaron Futrell, was going well over the speed limit when he hit 16-year-old Deandre Wallace Jr., of the 10000 block of Bon Oak.  Wallace was crossing the street around 8:00 p.m. Futrell recently pleaded guilty.

The stretch of road where the accident happened is poorly lit and has been the scene of previous accidents, including another fatal hit-and-run in 2013.
