FULTON, Mo. (AP) - An FBI agent who worked with the Boone County Cyber Crimes Task Force has been convicted of third-degree assault for choking a 13-year-old boy in March last year.

The Columbia Daily Tribune reports Scott A. Armstrong was found guilty Tuesday.

Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney Chris Wilson said that during a conversation among a group of adults and kids in Armstrong's Fulton home, the agent grabbed the boy in a chokehold from behind until he fainted and fell to the floor.

Armstrong faces up to one year in jail and his sentencing hearing is scheduled for June 1.

Armstrong was suspended from the Boone County Cyber Crimes Task Force in July after Sheriff Dwayne Carey heard about the arrest.
