HAZELWOOD, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

Police said they have arrested a suspect in connection with the death of Taylor S. Clark.

Michael Gordon, 24, has been charged with first degree murder and armed criminal action.

Authorities said Clark posted his car for sale on Craigslist. Gordon and Clark exchanged emails and agreed to meet Monday. Police said the two met on Monday morning in the parking lot of MTC Trucking Center in 1200 block of Missouri Bottom Road in Hazelwood; Gordon is an employee of the trucking company.

According to the probable cause statement, a witness saw Gordon get into the front passenger seat of Clark's car. After the suspect entered the car, Clark drove down to an abandoned rail spur, which has one point of access, restricting the witness' view. After several minutes, the witness saw Gordon driving the victim's car into the trucking center's parking lot. Gordon then exited the vehicle and returned to work, police said.

Gordon allegedly shot Clark once in the head during his lunch break, according to authorities.

The suspect tried to hide Clark's body in a nearby wooded area by covering it with dirt and leaves before he returned to work, police said.

On Tuesday, police found Clark's car in the trucking company parking lot and found his body nearby.

Authorities said they were still searching for Gordon's car, a maroon 1990 BMW 325i with Missouri License Plate FL3Z9K. However, the car has been found.

Gordon's first court appearance is scheduled for Thursday. He is currently being held at the St. Louis County jail in lieu of $1 million bond.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
