EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (KMOV.com) – Police asked for the public's help on Tuesday locating a Southern Illinois University student who has not been seen since Monday morning.

"I honestly thought they had the wrong person, because this doesn't sound like my friend, my best friend since grade school has disappeared," said Justin Preuss, a friend of Clark.

Police said 19-year-old Taylor S. Clark of St. Jacob, was last seen by his girlfriend around 10:30 a.m. Monday.

"He met briefly with his girlfriend in the Glen Carbon area, mentioning nothing about any kind of problems he was having with anybody or any suspicious information that he could have provided to her," said Sheriff John Lankin. Clark has not been seen since.

Police said Clark is a student at SIU-Edwardsville and had just taken final exams.

Friends and family said it is extremely out of character for Clark to disappear.
