LINCOLN COUNTY, Mo. - A domestic argument led to the fatal stabbing of a man in Lincoln County Sunday night, police said.

The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office said Monday that Lori Pults, 42, fatally stabbed Clifford Craig, Jr., 45, following an argument

According to police, Pults and Craig were engaged in a verbal altercation when Craig retrieved a knife from the kitchen and held it to Pults' arm, causing a laceration.  Pults was eventually able to retrieve the knife from the man and went to check on her 8-year-old son who was in another room.

Police said Pults then returned to the living room and stabbed Craig in the chest twice, killing him. Police said Craig was laying on a chair at the time he was stabbed.

When asked why she didn't go to a neighbor's house for help, she allegedly responded "I don't want to murder him at someone else's house. I am going to murder him right where he's at," according to a Facebook post made by the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office.
