SOUTH ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -

Authorities said surveillance photos captured three suspects robbing an AutoZone store on south Kingshighway Thursday night.

A customer showed News 4 the photos of the robbery which occurred around 8:30 p.m. The customer said one robber walked in and said “You know what time it is.”

“I turned around and he said ‘everybody on the floor,' then I fell on the floor,” said Carol Campbell-Scales.

Campbell-Scales said she decided to face the wall in the hopes that the robbers thought she did not see them and would not elect to kill her if they decided to shoot. The robbers first demanded money.

“He said ‘hurry up expletive. We ain't got time for that. Go back there and get in that safe!” Campbell-Scales said.

The suspects then demanded money from customers and workers.

“They then said ‘Now give me the money out of your wallet,” Campbell-Scales said.

Police said two of the suspects were armed and all three hid their faces. Campbell-Scales said the suspects stole her purse, which contained important documents including the keys for cars of two loved ones, her work ID, and wallet.

Campbell-Scales returned Friday because she needs parts to make car repairs.

“The store was nice and decent enough to offer me to get the parts I wouldn't be able to afford today at their expense. I appreciate that,” she said.

If you recognize the suspects, call police.
