St. Peters stepping up enforcement of illegally parked vehicles

ST. PETERS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

St. Peters announced it will be stepping up enforcement of illegally parked vehicles by mailing out to notices to those authorities have seen violate vehicle codes.

The city is calling it a friendly reminder to some to not park RVs, trailers, or boats. Police will also be cruising neighborhoods to take note of any violations.

“We do write summons, I know the ordinance officer keeps track of all these violations and there are people who call in and have special circumstances and he's more than willing to work with people who call in and have special circumstances. The last thing we want to do is to write summons so we are asking people for a voluntary compliance,” said Officer Melissa Doss with the St. Peters Police Department.

St. Peters allows a person to park a vehicle such as an RV for 10 days per year. Click here to see all the rules and regulations on such vehicles.
