Kirkwood student writes, produces, stars in Hollywood movie set to premiere in St. Louis

KIRKWOOD, Mo. (KMOV.com) - Clay Beabout, a senior at Kirkwood High School, teamed up with the Make A Film Foundation to write, produce and star in a movie based on his life, titled "Deep Blue Breath."

In his 18 years, Beabout, who is diagnosed with VACTR syndrome and Thoracic Insufficiency Syndrome,  has undergone 45 surgeries.

Stars of the film include Beabout, Sean Astin of the films "Rudy" and the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, Natasha Gregson Wagner known for "High Fidelity", Miguel Sandoval of the television show "Medium" and film "Jurassic Park" and Ernie Hudson, who starred in "Ghostbusters."

The film will premiere May 3 at the Sun Theatre in Midtown St. Louis.
