COLLINSVILLE, Ill. (KMOV.com) – Two suspects are facing charges for allegedly stealing rims and tires off of cars at a Metro East dealer.

Millard S. Carpenter, 51, and Marvin L. Young, 56, both from St. Louis, are charged with two counts of offenses related to motor vehicles. Neither suspect has been arrested by police.

According to police, in the early morning hours on April 14, Carpenter and Young were caught on surveillance video taking $3,000 worth of rims and tires off of a GMC Yukon Denali that was on the Laura Buick GMC lot, located in the 900 block of North Bluff Road.

An investigation revealed that the suspects were driving a light colored, late 1990's, or early 2000's model Chevrolet or GMC sport utility vehicle.

During the investigation, police obtained surveillance images from the car lot and another nearby business which helped to identify the suspects.
