ST. PETERS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- Police in Bridgeton and St. Peters continue to search for 77-year-old Mary Buckley of St. Peters. Buckley, who has Alzheimer's, has been missing since April 21.

When police went to notify Buckley that her son, Gary Buckley, was dead in an apparent suicide officers discovered she was missing. Buckley's SUV was found in a wooded area of Bridgeton south of Highway 370. Inside of the vehicle was a suicide note left by Gary Buckley. Police said the note mentioned his mother but gave no clue about what might have happened to her.

“We are looking at all avenues, that maybe he did have something to do with it maybe he didn't, maybe she walked away on her own, maybe there's someone that we don't know about that is taking care of her we are definitely looking into all of that,” said Melissa Doss, with the St. Peters Police Department.

If Buckley is still alive she would have to be getting medical care because she needs an oxygen tank to breathe, police said.

The search for Buckley has been concentrated in the area of Missouri Bottom Road and Highway 370 across the Missouri River from St. Charles County.

Anyone with information that may assist police in finding the missing woman should contact the St. Peters Police Department at 636-477-6600.
