Suspect shoots at car with 2-year-old inside, 2 people injured

(KMOV.com) – Police say two suspects shot at three people and a two-year-old waiting in their car at stop sign, injuring two of them in north St. Louis City.

The incident happened in the 5500 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Drive around midnight on Saturday. According to police, the victims were driving east on the street and were stopped at a stop sign when the suspect approach them.

The suspects pulled up next to the victims and opened fire.

One of the victims, an 18-year-old man, was grazed in the back. The second victim, a 14-year-old teenager was grazed across his abdomen. The third victim, a 17-year-old teen, and the fourth victim, a two-year-old boy, were not injured.

The victims drove to a relative's home who then took them to a local hospital. They are both listed as stable.

The suspects are described as a black male and a black female.

This is not the first shooting where a child was caught in the crossfire. According to our records, this the 11th shooting involving a child in 2015.
